Borough / Citywide Offices

NYC Borough and Citywide Offices (B/COs) work as cohesive groups to supervise, support, and develop NYC's 1605 non-charter school.  There are nine BCOs across NYC's five boroughs - seven geographically based, one citywide Affinity group office, and one citywide ACCESS office (District 79, Transfer Schools, and Adult and Continuing Education). Each BCO is led by an Executive Superintendent who directly oversees a team of superintendents, as well as an Executive Director of Borough / Citywide Support. The Executive Director, in turn, oversees a team of support and supervision staff that Instructional / Operational Directors, and their respective teams. As a unit, each BCO works collaboratively to ensure schools receive the tailored supervision, support, and guidance they need to improve and sustain equitable, excellent learning experiences and outcomes.
